Our mood-boosting candles make the perfect de-stress gift for the burnt out but they also help to light the way for those facing tougher daily struggles.
We are very proud to donate £1 from the sale of every SevenSeventeen candle, diffuser, jar of salts, bottle of hand soap and lotion and pair of socks to mental health charities and so far, thanks to our customers' wonderful support, we've raised over £18,000....
Each candle in our white label collection supports pre and postnatal depression charity PANDAS Foundation.
The PANDAS Foundation is here to help support and advise any parent who is experiencing a perinatal mental illness. They are also here to inform and guide family members, carers, friends and employers as to how they can support someone who is suffering.
PANDAS survives thanks to the hard work of their dedicated volunteer team and to date SevenSeventeen's donations to them have paid to run the helpline for an incredible 267 days, giving those struggling and often experiecing their darkest hours, the opportunity to talk to someone. How great is this?
Each candle from our black label collection helps male suicide prevention charity CALM.
The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is an award-winning charity dedicated to preventing male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. In 2015, 75% of all UK suicides were male.
They offer support to men in the UK, of any age, who are down or in crisis via their helpline, webchat and website and work tirelessly to challenge a culture that prevents men seeking help when they need it. They also help those bereaved by suicide, working to ensure they receive timely and appropriate support.
Our reed diffusers support SANE, the UK-wide charity working to improve quality of life for people affected by mental illness. SANE has three main objectives.
- To raise awareness and combat stigma about mental illness, educating and campaigning to improve mental health services;
- To provide care and emotional support for people with mental health problems, their families and carers as well as information for other organisations and the public.
- To initiate research into the causes and treatments of serious mental illness such as schizophrenia and depression and the psychological and social impact of mental illness.
SANE offers emotional support and information to anyone affected by mental health problems through their helpline and online Support Forum.
